Dark Omen and Windows XP

How to run Dark Omen under Windows XP:

1. Install the game normally
2. and simply start it.

If Dark Omen crashes after the intro you have to download the following file: Dark-Omen Intro-Crash-Fix. If you use this file you can skip the next three steps of this tutorial.

Now you have to set the following setting:

3. Check CPU instead of 3D, otherwise the game will flicker.
4. Choose the normal mouse cursor otherwise the game will crash.
5. The other options can be set to the highest level.

If it's still flickering try the following:

7. Press Alt+Tab to go back to the Desktop
8. Minimize every opened window to the taskbar.
9. Press Alt+Tab to go back to Dark Omen
10. If it does not help you can try pressing Alt+Tab for many times until it stopps flickering or close every other program. Pressing Alt+Tab in the intro sequence could also help but I'm not sure.
